The Korean Cultural Center in Hong Kong is glad to present a K-Craft workshop series in October and November on themes including "Bojagi ( Wrapping Cloths )", "Minhwa ( Traditional Korean Folkart)", "Najeon chilgi keyring( Lacquerwork Inlaid with Mother-of-Pearl )" and Hanji lantern.


Bojagi is a kind of traditional Korean decorative wrapping cloth typically used for wrapping gifts and lunch boxes. In the workshop, participants will learn the history and culture of Bojagi as well as different ways to wrap gifts with beautiful Bojagi cloths to make them look more elegant.


Minhwa, which is Korean folk painting, literally means "paintings of the people". It is a popular Korea painting form from the 17th century to the late Joseon Dynasty. Themes of Minhwa often include flowers, animals, landscapes and scenes from everyday life. Throughout the workshop, participants will learn historical context and symbolic meanings associated with each Minhwa genre, and also have the chance to try creating their own Minhwa artwork.


**Participants must be 16 years old or above ( except for NOV 2 'Minhwa Workshop for parent-child )

The age limit for child who participates is 5 to 10 years old.
