Tours showcasing the beautiful nightscape of Gyeongbokgung Palace in Seoul resume next week.

The Royal Palaces and Tombs Center of the Korea Heritage Service on Sept. 2 announced the schedule of the Gyeongbokgung Palace Night Tour for the second half of the year (Sept. 11 to Oct. 27).

As a leading event of the agency, the tour has tickets sold out almost instantly. To last 16 days longer than the spring edition earlier this year, the fall version will run for 33 days.


Visitors can visit the traditional gates of Gwanghwamun and Heungnyemun, Gyeonghoeru Pavilion, the halls of Geunjeongjeon, Sajeongjeon, Gangnyeongjeon and Gyotaejeon, and the area around the mound Amisan.


Tickets for this month's tour will be sold from Sept. 4-30 and those for next month from Sept. 25 to Oct. 26 on Interpark Ticket (https://tickets.interpark.com). The daily sales limit is 3,000 tickets on a first-come, first-served basis at KRW 3,000 each, with a limit of four per buyer.

Foreign tourists can purchase tickets on-site on the day of their visit at the ticket box of Gwanghwamun, with a daily sales limit of 300. Each person must show ID such as a passport, with a buying limit of two per person.


Admission is free for children age 6 or younger, senior citizens age 65 or older, figures of national merit and their spouses, and visitors wearing Hanbok (traditional clothing).
